TiE comes to North Bengal
Launched on 30 July 2025 as a Spoke Chapter under TiE Kolkata, TiE Siliguri exists to put North Bengal firmly on India's entrepreneurial map.

Hub & Spoke
Mentored by TiE Kolkata
As per TiE Global policy, every new chapter begins as a Spoke Chapter under an established Hub Chapter for its first two years. TiE Kolkata — founded in 2002, with 125+ Charter Members and 300+ Associate Members — is our Hub.
That means Kolkata mentors, guides and supports us in setting up governance, programs, events and membership, so the chapter is built on a proven foundation. Once we meet TiE Global's criteria, TiE Siliguri applies for full independent chapter status.

Why North Bengal
A region ready for its entrepreneurial moment
Siliguri sits at the crossroads of North Bengal, the Northeast, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh — a natural hub for trade, education, healthcare, hospitality and the tea economy, with a young, ambitious population and a fast-growing base of first-generation founders.
What the region has lacked is structured entrepreneurial support: mentors who have built at scale, access to capital, and a bridge to national and global networks. Too often, talented founders have had to leave for the metros to find it.
That is the gap TiE Siliguri exists to close — bringing the world's largest entrepreneurial network to North Bengal so founders can learn, raise capital, connect and grow without leaving home, and put the region firmly on India's entrepreneurial map.
