Founded in Silicon Valley in 1992, TiE — The Indus Entrepreneurs — exists for one purpose: to help entrepreneurs become better entrepreneurs.
TiE was born in 1992 when a group of successful entrepreneurs and professionals of Indus origin came together in Silicon Valley to give back — to mentor the next generation the way they wished they had been mentored.
Three decades on, that idea has become a global institution: a non-profit network that turns the hard-won experience of established founders into a structured advantage for the ones coming up behind them.

India is home to the largest concentration of TiE chapters anywhere in the world — 32 active chapters and counting, from the metros to fast-rising Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
TiE Siliguri joins that map as North Bengal's chapter, mentored by TiE Kolkata — one of the network's most active and respected chapters, founded in 2002.
